The International Society for Autism Research (INSAR) is a scientific and professional organization devoted to advancing knowledge about autism spectrum disorders (ASDs), including autism, Apserger syndrome and Pervasive Developmental Disorders Not Otherwise Specified (PDD NOS).
INSAR was created in 2001. To date, the Society's main task has been to run an annual scientific meeting - the International Meeting for Autism Research (IMFAR). Information about past and future IMFAR meetings can be found on this site.
In addition to the annual meetings, INSAR has recently contracted with John Wiley and Sons, Inc, to publish the Society's new research Journal, entitled "Autism Research". We expect the first issue of Autism Research to be published January 2008. Calls for papers and more information will be emailed to all INSAR members and past IMFAR attendees. Please also see the INSAR Journal tab herein for more information.
This web page was launched on July 1, 2007, and it will be continually updated and expanded. We hope to make this site an useful informational portal for everyone concerned with ASD research. Please bookmark this page and check back regularly.
