Clinical Psychologist

The Waisman Center is dedicated to the advancement of knowledge about human development, developmental disabilities and neurodegenerative diseases throughout the lifespan. The Center has approximately 600 faculty, staff and students with an annual budget of approximately $45 million. We are one of 9 national facilities that include an Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities Research Center and a University Center for Excellence in Developmental Disabilities. This includes laboratories for basic and clinical biomedical and behavioral research, a brain imaging center, a clinical bio-manufacturing facility, specialty clinics for people with developmental disabilities and their families, and a school for children from birth through age six serving typically developing children and children with disabilities.

The primary purpose of this position is to provide leadership for the clinical psychology services delivered at the Waisman Center. The psychologist will lead and participate in interdisciplinary assessments and intervention for children, adolescents, and adults with developmental disabilities (especially autism spectrum disorders), genetic disorders (e.g. fragile X syndrome and Down syndrome), and challenging behavioral issues. In addition to providing direct clinical services and clinical training and supervision to graduate and post-graduate students, the psychologist will participate in clinical and research initiatives such as applying to be part of the Autism Treatment Network. The psychologist will be a staff member in the Waisman Center's Leadership Education in Neurodevelopmental Disabilities (LEND) program.
